2-string Electric Cigar Box Bass Built by Farley Andresen & Glenn Watt

In 2016, Ben "Gitty" tasked CBG-building super-duo Farley and Glenn with building a 2-string bass that could be used on the brand new Cigar Box Nation TV show. This beautiful instrument was the result. Check out the photos of the build in process - Farley handled most of the construction, and Glenn handled the fancy electronics (dual humbucker pickups with a 3-way switch and separate volume/tone controls). 

The sturdy neck is made from solid red oak, and features a threaded rod nut and 19 jumbo frets with a 30-inch scale length. The box is an extra-long La Perla Habana cigar box (7 1/4 x 16 1/2 inches!).

Glenn and Farley have both long since moved on to other pursuits, and this is a unique chance to own a very special build that they worked on together, in the glory days of the C. B. Gitty custom shop. Please note that this instrument was actively used on-stage and bears some scuffs and marks.
