The Hollywood Barn Wood Guitar - built by Farley Andresen - Recorded at Capitol Records

Originally hand-crafted by master-builder Farley Andresen, and used to record a track at the famous Capitol Records in Hollywood, California, this amazing four-string guitar is absolutely and uniquely "one of a kind". 

Farley built this guitar as part of her "Barn Wood" series, with the box crafted entirely from antique, weathered wood salvaged from 200 year-old Maine barns. The soundboard in particular is uniquely beautiful, in that the sound holes are natural knot holes that formed in the wood long ago. Farley added an old patina'd steel door handle as a decorative and functional touch, and chose to make this beautiful-looking and sounding guitar a four-string model.

On a trip to Hollywood to take part in a special festival (helping TV stars and producers build their own cigar box guitars), Ben "Gitty" Baker took this guitar along. While out there, it was played by Chris Thorn (lead guitarist for the band Blind Melon) in his home studio, and also played by Ben while helping record a track in Studio A of the famous Capitol Records (see photos!). 

This is a deeply storied, unique heirloom homemade instrument that would be an amazing additional to any collection.
