Description
This is a set of 4 ukulele tuners with a chrome finish. These are meant for mounting through the headstock from back to front (with the tuner buttons on the back of the headstock), as opposed to the "right angle" style of guitar tuners. These are designed to accomodate headstock thicknesses of between 3/8" and 9/16". These tuners operate by friction and are designed for the lower tensions of nylon strings, so keep that in consideration when planning to use them.
Please Note: The newest batch of these has more of a cream color to them than the white of previous sets, so the installation image will look a little different than the final product.

This is a backpack uke from plans I got online (google “backpack ukulele”). It’s only 17-1/2” long but has a full 15” soprano uke scale length. I added a fretboard and the raised section at the bottom to get the ridge and turn-around higher to match the fret board. It’s very quiet but a nice instrument for low-volume practice or, of course, backpacking! My son and grandson spent the weekend recently and we each made one. My son made another backpack uke and my grandson make a slightly larger six-string guitar version. Needless to say, it was an awesome weekend. We are planning a jam session on our next camping trip.
