Bone Nut Blanks for Cigar Box Guitar - Choose Color & Pack Size

Description
Choose from either 2-packs or 12-packs of high-quality nut blanks perfect for cigar box guitars and other homemade instruments, available in several different styles and quantities.
Here are the dimensions:
- Length: 1.536" (39mm)
- Height: 0.350" (9mm)
- Thickness: 0.195" (5mm)
These nut blanks are made from cow bone or buffalo horn and are rectangular in shape. You will need to file/shape them to your needs and add string notches as desired.
Please note that for the dyed option(s), the blanks are soaked in the dye, which permeates into the bone. However, due to natural variations in texture and mineralization, these pieces have a somewhat mottled coloration (rather than being a full solid black). Also, the darkness of the dye decreases towards the center of each piece (they are lighter in the center), so some touch-up with a black marker may be necessary after filing and shaping.
For the Buffalo Horn option, the blanks are consistently colored all the way through.

Built these twin hollowbody telecaster resonators for the great cigar box guitar builders swap off. I like the vintage style open gear tuners and love the spun paint can lid resonator. It creates a very nice dobro sound.

These are my latest projects. Both have Mahogany necks with ebony fretboards. All made from scratch. Custom headstocks. One has the 3 bar pickup, the other has a piezo pickup under the bridge. Did a custom inlay using pigment and epoxy.
