2pc. 1/8" Hardwood Neck Collars with Metal Braces for CBGs

These are the perfect "cover-up" for neck-notching mistakes!

This is a set of two neck collars with antique copper finish metal neck braces for cigar box guitars.

The covers are laser cut from 1/8" (3.18mm) Genuine Mahogany and are made to fit over a standard 1x2 (0.75" x 1.5") neck where it exits the box, to help hide jagged notch cuts. They are 2 15/16" (72.61mm) wide by 2 1/4" (57.15mm) deep. The neck opening is exactly 1 1/2" (38mm) wide by 3/4" (19.2mm) deep.

The braces are a great decorative and sturdy way to attach your neck to the box, and can help reduce neck bowing. The included screws match the antique copper finish, and are about 1" in length.

Important Notes: The collars do not include mounting screws. If you are using a standard 1x2 board for your neck, you may need to cut the metal brace screw length down by about 3/8" to keep it from coming through. Just pre-drill the hole and it should work fine. This item is decorative, as such some care must be taken when mounting. Try not to over tighten screws when mounting to the box, as the wood can split if too much force is put on it.

We recommend putting a hardwood brace inside the box to give the screws a little meat to bite into, as the cigar box may not be strong or thick enough.
