6-string "WickedBucker" Flat Hand-Wound Surface-Mount Pickup

The SIX-STRING Wickedbucker:  a surface-mount guitar pickup are based on an original design by Elmar Zielhofer and brought to America by the late Dan Sleep. Our friend Marty Tauber hand-winds each of these pickups, on a rig he designed himself, in his Maine Made CBG workshop in Biddeford, Maine. Due to the popularity of the pickup, Marty has extended his endeavors into this 6-string variety. With a higher impedance of around 4kOhms, we KNOW you'll love it. Each one is signed and numbered by Marty. 

Do not try to remove the clear tape that covers the pickup, as this will pull off the tiny wire windings and probably ruin it.

These pickups are surface mount, and are less than 1/4" thick, making them the perfect solution for builders that want the versatility of a magnetic pickup without the usual modifications to the box and neck. Installation is as easy as positioning it on your instrument and drilling holes for the wires and the screws, feeding the wire through and soldering the 12" leads to a jack. 

The surface mounting is very easy - just back out the small screws, place on your box top, and then drive the screws down into it.
