This unique active tone circuit opens up many possibilities by giving you the ability to subtly change your sound, without loss of volume. We call this the "Tone Distiller", as it distills out remarkably rich tonal essences from your instrument.

 

• Position 1: True Bypass/Passive (no effects)

• Position 2: Bright Tone (Chiming Treble boost)

• Position 3: High Peak (Mid-Treble combo boost)

• Position 4: Mid Peak (Midrange boost)

• Position 5: Low Peak (Bass boost)

Artec QTA Active Tone board, a simple component that allows you a degree of control over the tone going to your guitar or amplifier (including cigar box guitars and amps). Featuring a 5-position selector pot built in, with "true bypass" and four levels of tone control. This circuit has been built to simulate classic tone selectors used on vintage guitars.

This board is powered by a 9-volt battery (with an estimated 3000 hours of battery life!), and the battery connector is included (though the battery is not!). This board comes with leads already soldered, clearly labeled as Input, Output and Battery. You can wire it into a guitar (connect Input to the pickup and Output to the jack), or in a standalone box (solder 1/4" jacks to both Input and Output - Input is the feed from the Guitar, Output is the feed to the amplifier).
