2024 Double-Neck Cigar Box Guitar Build-Off! $500 in prizes!

Why should Led Zeppelin or Rush have all the fun?  We build cigar box guitars... so let's make double-neck cigar box guitars!  

OVERVIEW: We challenge you to invent & build a new musical instrument that combines a cigar box with two playable necks.  We will award C. B. Gitty gift certificates to the top five submissions as determined by our celebrity judges:

• Del Puckett
• Steve Arvey
• Hambone Skinny
• Southern Fire Guitars' Michael Bianconi!  

The deadline for submissions is Father's Day, Sunday June 16th.

$500 in Prizes:

• First place:  $250 gift certificate to CBGitty.com and all the bragging rights that come with it!
• Second place:  $100 gift certificate to CBGitty.com 
• Three runners-up:  Each of the three runner's up will receive $50 gift certificates to CBGitty.com

RULES:

Instrument must have the following criteria: 

1. You must be the builder and the instrument must be have at least 1 cigar box in the body. 
2. It must be playable and contain at least 2 playable necks. 
3. You can submit up to 3 photos and/or 1 video of the instrument
4. Any instrument that has won a C. B. Gitty or CigarBoxNation.com contest in the past is ineligible. 

HOW TO ENTER:  

There are three ways to enter.  (You only need to enter once):  Post up to three photos and/or one video of your instrument to Facebook, Instagram or the C. B. Gitty Customer Gallery

1. Enter by Facebook:  Post your entry at the Official 2024 Double-Neck Cigar Box Guitar Build Off Group on Facebook.  Note:  If entering through Facebook, you must post to this group or we will not see your submission.
2. Enter on Instagram:  Post your entry on your Instagram page and include the tag @cbgitty and #2024doubleneckcbg. If you do not include the tag and hashtag, we will not see your entry.   (Note: If you invite us as a "collaborator" to your Instagram post, we will also share your entry on our own Instagram timeline.)
3. No social media? No problem!  Simply enter on the C. B. Gitty Customer Gallery Page!  Just post your entry along with your name and a one paragraph description!  Make sure to tag any C. B. Gitty parts while you're there.

The winning instruments will be chosen by our panel of judges and will be announced on the home page of CBGitty.com on June 160, 2024. Your instruments will be judged on creativity, originality and overall coolness. Basically, we're be looking for the one CBG that gets discussed the most at the water cooler!
