Paint Can Lid Resonators for Cigar Box Guitars - Choose from 3 Sizes

What better to use as a resonator in a cigar box guitar than a repurposed paint can lid?  Not only does it deliver the convincing metallic dobro sound, but it's also thin enough to be used on almost any build.  No deep routing is needed!

These paint can lids make great resonator inserts for cigar box guitars! We offer 3 different sizes, from Quart (3.9" / 99mm) to Gallon (6.25" / 159mm) so you can use them with almost any cigar box!

These are sturdy, new metal lids with an outer rim that allows them to be seated cleanly down into an appropriately-sized hole. The undersides of the Quart and Gallon size have a gray finish, and the half-gallons are bare metal. The top sides (visible when installed) are all shiny bare metal and can be left plain or decorated however you want - spraypainted, etched, hammered, antiqued - whatever your creativity can devise!

Quart: Outer Diameter: 3.9" / 99mm. Overall depth: 0.3125" / 7.9mm. Fits a hole sized to: 3.75" / 95.25mm. 

Half-gallon: Outer Diameter: 5.1" / 129mm. Overall depth: 0.4375" / 11.1mm. Fits a hole sized to: 5" / 127mm.

Gallon: Outer Diameter: 6.25" / 158.8mm. Overall depth: 0.358" / 9.1mm. Fits a hole sized to: 6.125" / 155.6mm.
