Description
Get your mojo workin', your muddy water rollin and your juke shack a-rockin' with these awesome hand-made slides... you can even get the set of all six and save!
These solid brass guitar slides are hand-crafted in the USA by Ron Hall, a master machinist with many years' experience. These are an adjustable style of brass slide formed from a rolled sheet, so that you can fit it to your finger by gently bending it to change the inner diameter. Choose from five stamped designs inspired by American Blues history: "MUDDY", "HOBO", "JUKE SHACK", "MOJO" and "TESTIFY" - this last style being one of Shane Speal's Signature "Stubby Slide" creations. The lettering has been stamped on one side of the slides, and then darkened using a special antiquing process.
- MUDDY - in tribute to the great Muddy Waters, and also "Big Muddy", the mighty Mississippi river, which has always flowed through the heart of the Blues.
- HOBO - in honor of the rail-riding men of yore. Many of the original bluesmen spent time as train-hopping hoboes, and there are even stories of Robert Johnson catching freight trains to get to gigs.
- JUKE SHACK - Catfish on the grill, whiskey, women and deep Blues... greasy fingers and all... you could get your fill of all of it down at the Juke Shacks in the Mississippi Delta.
- MOJO - "I gotta black cat bone, and a mojo too..." Bring a little hoodoo into your slide playing.
- HELLHOUND - in honor of Robert Johnson's famous song "Hellhound On My Trail"
- TESTIFY - a Shane Speal original Stubby Slide, which he calls "The Preacher". There's always been a deep connection between the Gospel and the Blues, even though many considered it the devil's music. This slide design honors the two sides of that tradition.
These slides are 2 inches long and adjustable to most any size finger.
