Knob Turning Tool - make custom wooden knobs using your drill press!

If you have ever wanted to make your own custom wooden knobs for your cigar box guitars or other instruments, this is the tool for you! Developed and hand-crafted by long-time Gitty friend and customer (and cigar box guitar builder and inventor) Louie LaManna, all you have to do is insert this tool into your knob, then chuck it into your drill press or secured hand drill, get her spinning and start shaping! You can use rasps and related tools for rougher shaping and then sandpaper for final smoothing - you can even use polishing compound and buffing cloths to achieve even finer finishes!

Lower spindle speeds are recommended for shaping with rasps, and higher speeds are recommended for finish sanding. Be sure to wear appropriate hand and eye protection when using power tools.
